    Question Faint BFP at doctors??

    Hi there,
My DF and I are TTC #2 and I am 3 days late for my AF!
When I was pregnant with DS all the HPT including the Dr's one came back the only way I found out was through a BT!
I have done numerous HPT's over the last week and they have all been . Today I went to the doctors and did one there, It showed up -ve but after a few minutes a very very very faint second line came up!
I did a BT just after and won't find out the results until monday, but I was just curious as to whether the Dr's urine tests can give you a false ??
I'm really happy but am trying not to get my hopes up as the line was so faint!
Has this happened to anyone else??

Would appreciate anyone's feedback! Thanks in advance!

Yep they can give a negative when you are pregnant.

All urine tests measure HCG hormone in your urine - different tests respond to different levels. If your levels are quite low they may not show up on a urine test .....

With DD all my HPT were faint and then the Dr's one was also very Faint. It was a BFP tho. The dr told me that a line is a line and it wouldn't show up unless it was a bfp.
    Hope this helps.

The tests at the doctors arent quite as sensitive as some you buy over the counter so it sounds very promising to get a faint BFP at the doctors!
My at the doctors was so faint he didn't believe I was pregnant until we got the BT results back, I knew I was though as I had been gettin reaaally faint lines on HPT's all week..
Goodluck, my for you but I think you are pregnant!!

    Yep I agree - a line is a line.

When I was pg with DD I got a very dark line in a HPT, but when I went to the Dr the line was not visible - he told me he wasnt really sure I was pg (but wouldnt do a blood test )

Needless to say I changed doctors !!!!!!

Best of luck fo rthe next 9 months
