aww my DH works every 2nd week away.

The only advice I can offer is do all the things you never get too,
    so it becomes a treat!
dh hates mushrooms so I make everything mushroom.
I tape all my fave shows and I ring all my girlfriend for hour long convos that I dont usually get to do.

I also write DH letters and he writes back. So then we swap the next away date!

A remote job offer is currently on the cards for my DH too. If we make the decision to go for it my DH will be doing 2n1 and we will most likely move closer to his job which is over the other side of Australia BIG BIG decisions!

My husband tends to go away for 6-12 week periods at a time so I know how you feel. The first couple of nights are always the hardest - but then it becomes quite easy.

I try to focus on the positives instead! You can watch WHATEVER you want on tellie without someone hogging the remote; you can stretch out in bed; you can eat all the yummy foods you like that he doesn't like to eat; you can hire all those chick flick DVD's that you've been dying to watch; and no one is around to move the car keys on you!!!

My DP is away at the moment too.............AGAIN and this time I don't know when he'll be home.

He went OS for 19 days at the end of September and THAT was hard. I couldn't call him, had to wait for him to call me and because it was so expensive, he only called every 2nd night. It DID get easier though, like someone else said I got to do all the stuff I normally wouldn't if he was here. Stuff like watching what I wanted, having the computer whenever I wanted, eat whatever I wanted (DP doesn't like pasta and is allergic to seafood - my 2 favourite foods!) and the best thing of all?

THE HOUSE STAYED CLEAN AND TIDY

Him 27 trying to keep up

I don't know what your problem is, but I'm sure it's hard to pronounce
