Ok, so I've decided I'm going to do Pilates. Your responses have been really helpful.

We've located a studio close to home and myself & another friend are going to do it together (save expenses).

I'm looking forward to it re toning particularly post babies. Plus, I have poor posture so I'm hoping it will help that too.

Another question: what do I wear to it? Please, be gentle if you are going to respond with something athletic looking. These thighs were not meant for anything that hugs.

Mumma_Al - shamelessly milking your expertise .... would you recommend some brisk walking as a complementary way to shed the extra pounds?

It wont hurt, every little bit helps. Keep in mind so that your time walking isnt a waist of time, you need to get your heart rate up and keep it up for minimum of 15mins. Basically you need to sweat. Theres no need to go for hours on end 30-45mins is enough, as long as you get your heart rate up for over the 15mins.

    AND DRINKS LOTS OF WATER

    Hope that helps

Thanks, Mumma Al, that definitely helps. I will ensure that I sweat (an attractive option, thank goodness for deoderant) and do 30 - 45 mins.

I very much admire what you do! Anyone that exercises and encourages others to do so is a hero in my books!
