Default Skin Tags in Vagina? TMI

Heya, I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced skin tags just inside their vagina since giving birth?

I was about to use my oestrogen cream (prescribed because sex is painful still 11mths down the track) and I noticed that I have about 3 or 4 floppy, bulbous bits of flesh just inside my vagina. I assume they are skin tags because they have no feeling and are just fleshy bits.

Thing is, I'm not so sure they were there months ago. I don't remember the last time I inspected myself down there and my hubbie doesn't think they were around since Ava was born, so they might be a new thing.

It's horrible. My vagina is totally ruined since I gave birth *sulks*

I'm going to the dr to see if the cream is working in a week or so, and am going to ask her about them. Until then I was just wondering if anyone elses vagina has totally changed in appearance like this since giving birth? Anyone else got weird skin tags?

neostudded, I haven't actually tried sex since using the cream. I have to wait until my next appointment when I can get my contraceptive shot... unless I get some condoms of course

I'll let you know if it works for me though.

sarah, i did read on the net that they are normal during pregnancy, but I swear they weren't there until recently. I was wondering if maybe the cream had something to do with it.
At any rate I'll ask the dr when I see her next week.

    Cheers for the replies

Yes, you know you could head down to the hospital and they will remove them for you with some anesthetic and wire.
Sounds awful but they should be pretty painless to remove.

I was one of the unlucky ones that had a gigantic skin tag from one end of my vaginal wall to the other, I'm just so glad it broke before child birth otherwise I would have been in for a lot of tearing and pain.
It was actually sex and tampons that made it seep out and eventually rip, but gosh it was scary and awful to look at, I felt like a monster.

It's horrid isn't it? When I first noticed these I was kinda disgusted at my vagina.
It used to be so smooth and just... normal... a normal vaginal opening. Now it has these weird things that are just wrong.

I might end up getting these removed, they are awful. I hates them!!

not sure about skin tags but I LOVE my oestrogen cream! I would have killed myself after having DS if the doc hadn't given it to me. There is no way I could have BF for so long without it.

I don't think they like to prescribe it willy nilly.
I mentioned it to the dr and she sorta ignored me but then she examined me and prescribed it.

Maybe because its hormone replacement they are more careful about prescribing it?

I still haven't booked in another appointment so Im not sure if its working yet. I'll keep you posted though.

But yeah, I think bfing is one of the reasons we get drier down there. I think when you bf you aren't making as much oestrogen or something
