Angry I am Soooo Frustrated at her - long vent

I dont understnad why some people have to blatently lie to my face and expect me to believe them, when I was right there and seen what happened!

Who am I talking about? MY mother..............

She is great, helps out by looking after DS when I work , but today she really set me off, and I have had enough...

Sometimes she tells these stupid little lies as she thinks she knows all sometimes! Anyway she met me at work with DS and went to the car, as I then take her to work, so she opened the back door behind the drivers side, and put DS's bag on the seat, I didnt even realise, then HELPED DS into his seat, as he cant get in the car himself! As the back seat is too high! He got into his chair and I buckled him in....

So anyways, I take her to work, get to the gym at 9.10am, so an hour after they got in the car, and went to get DS out...Only to find that his bag was lying on the seat, and the seat and floor, including a $30 sun visor, and my $70 pair of gym shoes (only got them that cheap on sale!) were covered in milk, his entire bottled leaked everywhere!

So I rang her and asked her why she was so thoughtless, only to be given a pathetic "Oh well sooorrryyyy"...

I got so mad and she wont own up to the fact that she infact stuffed up as she put the bag there, she told me that I am his mother, I should have moved it....etc, so now I have no shoes to wear to work or the gym, as you can see one of them is dirtier than the other and reaks of milk, which I need to wear to work tomorrow!!!! And they are ruined....they are white, so it is extremely obvious...

And then she turned around and said to me that HE got in the car himself, when I was standing there watching, and I know it is an outright lie...

I am fed up with her and her cr@p.....If she just owned up that it was in fact her fault, and she apologised sincerely I would have been annoyed, but not to mad, but now I am so damn angry!

She knows the lid does not seal it properly, and the fact that its going to cost ME a fortune to have the carpet and seat cleaned, as it was a whole sports bottle FULL. I have NO shoes to wear to work tomorrow, which stink of off milk now, and are saturated with milk....

It may have only been an accident, but if she owned up to it, it would be semi ok, but I am the one having to foot the bill of her 'accident'...

It is not cheap to get a car steam cleaned, as I dont have my own!

My shoes were not cheap, and are now ruined. They were soaking in milk for an hour as was my seat and carpet in the car...

Worse things could have happened but this is an expense I am not really up for!!!!

If you get where I am coming from....

To fix your shoes, put them in an old pillowcase and chuck them in the washing machine. Then either open them out and put them in front of the heater for a while, or keep them in the pillowcase and tumbledry on low.

I can understand how you have reacted though. Whilst a simple accident - it is more the buil dup of obvious white lies that is giving you the sh!ts.

Hope you can get the smell of milk out of the car. Brion recently power chucked in our car, so we used a delicates wash liquid and water to scrub and then used Nil odour on them too. Didn't go away straight away - but now you can't tell what happened.

Exactly...if she just said a honest "I'm sorry", I really wouldnt be so p!ssed at her! And would accept it as an accident!

I always tell her to move the bag or move it myself (but I didnt seem it today), as she knows it moves whilst driving, and she knows to put the milk in the holder.....but done neither! She sometimes carries his milk in her bag so I didnt really take notice!

I need my shoes for work tomorrow, and have NO closed in shoes I require to be able to work in, which is another thing that has made me so mad....there is no time to dry them out, I put them in the sun all morning and they are still saturated! I start work at 5 am so its a bit difficult!

I am also afraid of putting an expensive pair of clothes through the machine!!!

    thanks...

dont get me wrong she has been a god send, but in return for her looking after DS I take her out of my way to work, then pick her up every day! So its not as though I use her!

And I do appreciate what she does, but to not own up to something she done and to relay the blame back onto me....

    Not on.....

I put Stu's Black Nikes in the tumbledrier after Brion poured an entire bottle of Nurofen into one of them and smeared it all over the other - and no damage was done. I did put it on low though.
