    Default mmm... Could i be?

    Hi everyone!

I need some advice, i have been having the depo shot since i had my dd last year. However when i was due for my sept shot i decided to wait and have a proper period as i hadn't had one in months, well i am still waiting.

I was wondering if anyone eles has experienced this? I am a bit worried as that i could be preggers again. Although i haven't had any signs like i could be...

    Can anyone help??

    Hey Parnellfamily,
when i went off my depo in november it took 3mths for my period to be normal or to even get one. I guess it just depends on ur body. If you get too worried you should see your doctor.

I never get a period while on depo and when I have gone off it it can take months for it to return, usually about 3-4 months for me and even then the first few are very light.

Hi there, I had depo after DS1 was born, put the next shot off for 9 days due to my studies at the time. Well, DP and I wern't careful cause Doc told me when I want to get pregnant again just stop taking the injection and it can take upto 3 months. I fell pregnant somewhere in those 9 days

So, you could be pregnant, or you might have a normal body that takes 3 months to 'start working' again.

Maybe you should see your GP just in case.

    Good luck!

took me a year and a half to get my period back after having only 2 injections of Depo it really screwed with my body and is some of the reasons that I had infertility issues, that is one type of contraception that I would not advise anyone to take. I hope you get some answers really soon

I started Depo soon after it first came out - in 1995 i think?

I was on it for 2 years - didn't get my period the whole time i was on it.

My period didn't start again until a year and a half later!
