    Default Early Preg symptoms

I've heard of an increased sense of taste, and craving things when pregnant but has anyone ever had an increased sense of smell.

It might just mean i'm a bit queasy because AF is due, but i just used a whiteboard marker, and the smell was so strong i could taste it. I looked at it, and it said "low odour". I asked one of the other girls and she couldn't even smell it.

Again, weird things happen to me even with AF, so anything is possible, but i'm wondering if i'm a freak? I also feel like capsicum and i hate capsicum. Maybe thats just my body telling me i need a certain vitamin.

    I give up!!!

smell, huge with me, even smells I usually liked were suddenly awful. This has all disappeared now but it was really bad in the 1st trimester.

I can smell fish a mile away, so bad that I couldnt go to some supermarkets as I could smell the fish in the deli, down nearly every aisle, which had me reaching for my trusty sealy bags (aka vomit bags).

This sounds really mean, but I promise I am not meaning that way!!!

There is a lady at my work who has a bit of a funky smell (It smells like a, sorry to say it, period smell but she has it constantly), and the other day I could smell her from my office.

Then she came in to talk to me, and I had to be really short with her because as soon as she walked out I was heaving into my bin.

I REALLY hope she didn't hear me cause that would make me feel awful!!! Here's hoping the heightened sense of smell disappears soon!!!

Me too, garlic and onion do it for me, I can't have them in the house anymore. I can eat them, as long as I don't have to prepare them. I only have to get a whiff and I'm running for the toilet, even at this stage of my pregnancy.

My DH has been warned not to have anything with garlic in it for lunch when he is at work, otherwise he is banished to the couch, lol.
