    Default Cleaning ears

    Hi
Just another question. My 2yr old doesnt like me cleaning her ears. I know your not supposed to put anything in your ears that is bigger than your elbow but they get dirty.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Default drying ears

    hi
i didnt "clean" my bubs ears for ages and even now he is four i dont do it often, it just dosent seem to need it .
but what i did do before i felt it was safe to use cotton buds was while i was drying his head i would run the towel around the out side of his ear it was so quick he didnt even feel it and any ear wax got gentley wiped out with the towel.
    good luck .

you can get johnson's cotton tips for babies with a bulb-like tip that I used when my boys were small. Now ( they are 3 and 15 months I use a normal cotton tip. I have shown my 3 year old how to hold it close to the point so he can't push it too far accidentally and he does a pretty good job of cleaning them himself.
My children have very waxy ears ( but no infections so far touch wood!) so I could never quite get it all with a towel.
Plus, it's how I clean my ears!
Needless to say I am careful, and if they protest then I leave it for a better opportunity.

    good luck
