Default Alrighty, I need your gift help people!

All help much appreciated, here are the details of the required gift:

    For-female, 30 years old
    Amount-$30-$40
Likes-ummm, stuff that costs more than that!

She spends tons and tons of money on stuff she likes, and is very particular about things like bath products.
She is always on a diet so I feel mean buying her sweets.

    Any thoughts?
Me, DH, Cheeky Monkey, and Sweety Pie

If she's into bath products, even the fussiest people tend to love stuff from Lush (there's one at Chadstone).

Maybe a book? Does she read much?

The other thing you can do is go to the Perfume Connection and buy a miniature. You can get designer perfumes (in little bottles obviously!) for $15 to $20 each. Maybe a lovely bottle of perfume with a CD or something?

How about a gift voucher to have a day spa treatment? At a couple of the local dayspas, that would be the cost to have a facial, or a half hour massage, or a pedicure.

Does she like books? That's around the price for that.

    A magazine subscription?

Not sure about Lush, might be a good idea though.

Books: good thought, anyone know what all the 'cool kids' are reading? She loves being up to date with the latest...

Perfume, I got her a beautiful miniature last year and she just looked at it and said 'oh'...

Spa treatment might work well, I'll have to see if she drops the name of her favourite place (she loves dropping names, LOL)

Good thinking so far, keep 'em coming!

I'd buy her sweets. If she is going to turn her nose up at your gifts because they aren't 'expensive' enough for her.. then, well, that'd make me a bit insensitive about her present.

What about a nice wall clock?

Does she do her nails, at Big W or Kmart they have nail kits with the electric buffer and shaper etc...Its cool little kit for around 30 bucks...

What about a face steamer? Or a Foot Spa?...

A nice pair of ear-rings...Goldmark and Zamels have 25% off gold, you can get a nice pair of hoops or dangleys for 20 bucks!

A magazine subscription? You could probably get a half-year one for $40. Is she into any particular magazine? Maybe a home decor one.

Or donate to a charity in her name. Give her a gift from the Oxfam catalogue (I think goats are about $40). If she's disappointed, surely she wouldn't want to appear shallow enough to show it?!

That's what I think too, though I'd probably still try and get something she'd like.

    I like the day-spa idea.

I like some of the ideas that lean towards showing her up for being a b!tch, LOL, and I have bought her chocolate before just to hear her whinge

This year though I am her nominated gift buyer for a group of us (we have to keep the cost low as it is a biggish group) so I have to make it pretty nice at it's her only gift from us.

She has her own jeweller, not really in to anything not custom made...

I'll check out her magazine pile next time I'm there, that sounds plausibly suitable!

I am shocking with this, part of me wants to get her something she loves (because I love buying people presents) but another part thinks that if she is just going to be rude (she always is) then why waste the effort?

Hmm.. have you thought about buying stuff from a cheaper online store - I know you can get good L'Occitane from Skincarestore or StrawberryNet

They both have free shipping too. L'Occitane is a prestige/fancy French brand so she should appreciate it!!
