I'd flag that site and go elsewhere where they are more supportive of homebirth. We have a section here aswell.

It stumps me that people would be so healthy during pregnancy then pump their body full of drugs during labour.
I dont think having a natural birth is selfish at all Its better for Mum and bubs!

Drugs have thier place, its just that they are over used.

Some people think childbirth/parenthood is a consumer moment ie the more stuff you have/get the better it is.

Some people aren't capable of looking inside to find a way to cope.

Sorry but some people need drugs during labour guess i will get paid out for this but not everyone can cope with a natural birth we all deal with pain differently and for me it was something that helped me! I wish i could have a drug free birth but unfortunately doesnt work for me

    Totally agree

I also dont think we are given or are told about tools to use in order to avoid drugs etc. We seem to be so caught up in making the pain 'go away' that we dont see it as something that can be good even when it is bad so to speak lol.

I also think that many women are scared of what they will do or become when in labour as in they dont want to lose control. They think it will be a bad thing etc when in fact they do need to lose control just not in the way they imagine.
