    Default Eczema behind the knees

Just wondered if anyone had anything good for helping out eczema behind the knees. Ive tried her sigmacort and even small amounts of my Advantin (I have eczema too) but nothing seems to have cured it

Do you think some curash powder a few times a day might be helpful?

Yep curash or even plain cornflour as sounds like might be caused by excess moisture rather then needing extra moisturisation. Prob need to repeat reg because of sweating there.
You could swab with some diluted tea tree oil as well, then dry well, to ensure no bacteria present.

    Hi
My DS has it behind one knee (as well as other places). We consulted an allergist/ biochemist who told me that behind knees is a clear indicator of a fungal infection. I find Hydrazole (1% cortisone and antifungal combined) works well here. The diluted tea tree oil may work too as it is an antifungal.
    Best of luck

My DS gets ecszema really bad behind the knees and on his upper body. I took him to a skin specialist and she prescribed him with Elocon cream - the stuff is absolutely amazing! I put a little bit on the back of his knees and by the next day it was practically gone - as well as all the very dry itchy spots on his body! Its amazing stuff but you need to ask your doctor for it, once it is completely gone after using elocon, you just continue to moisturise them twice a day to prevent it from happening again (using QV intensive or something similar)

I have heard that that is good, is it a steroid cream? I have only just entered the dreaded world of eczema and i hate it so much, my DS is only 15 weeks so i want to get on top of it quick. I'm trying some natural products to no avail so far, i think im just wasting my money to be honest. If this one i'm using now does nothing in the next day or so i'll go back to the Dr. Thanks for your info.

Yes i am pretty sure it is a steroid cream. The burning itching he has gets relieved almost instantly and the dry and red itchy spots are dramatically reduced by the next day. They completely disappear within a couple of days - its amazing stuff!

With my DD (4mths) she gets really weapy eczema behind her knees and ears, I put her nappy rash cream behind her knees when I am changing her nappy (Sudocrem - from the supermarket or chemist).
It usually clears it up overnight.

Steroid creams may be ok for short term use, but should not be used over large areas or for a long time. You can get good results using natural products. I have tried Midihoney Eczema cream (from pharmacy) and XMA skin therapy (off XMA website) with better results than the steroid creams I used. Of course you need to use appropriate body wash (try an organic product).
