    Sarah, maybe try:

    * Baby swim classes
    * Shopping trips with girlfriends
    * Family picnic (weather's starting to improve)
    * Family bike rides
    * If hubby's comfortable being on his own with the bub, go watch a movie with your girlfriends and get away for a couple of hours. This does wonders for your sanity

    Hope these help - I know they worked for me!

    We are in the same boat, i am bored, i want to go back to work but i dont want to leave dd in daycare all day, thats not fair. I would leave her with family but we dont have any in the country that can care for her while i am work.

    We do the same things everyday, breakfast, bath, play, bottle, sleep. Lunch, play Dinner, play, sleep. And somewhere in there i clean the house and do the grocery shopping. The only thing we have to look forward to during the week is mothers group.

    DITO GIRLS....

    I actually started studying through OTEN that gives me something to entertain my brain as staying at home all day doing the same thing just does not stimulate your brain....

    Try just an easy course, even if its like scrapbooking or maybe studying something hard like biology. You can take as long as you want to do it and you can do it from home...

    Sometimes us mums just want to feel smart and feel like we still have an adult brain in there!!

    PS Do the course while bub sleeps or has play time!

    Kirbyd, I did the same thing too! OTEN is great and DH was so supportive of it. It gave us something else to talk about other than DS.

    There's also Thomson Education Direct for shorter courses if there isn't anything in OTEN that catches your fancy.

    How about having one day a week where you just leave the house as it is and do something different - just jump in the car and get out somewhere different - depends on kids ages and where you live - go for a drive to the beach, a local river, big park, reserve where they have paths you can walk bubs on, head for the hills - anything that is a change of scenery and take a picnic lunch - its really refreshing to have a day out of the house and a change - you feel different when you get back just having a day out of the routine.

    In this weather it really helps too

    I also feel the same way. Though I have tried to talk to hubby about it he says you wanted another one which is true I had a job I loved even though was partime I thought I would go back soon after bubby was born but the business contracts changed and my Friday night and saturday shifs were no longer an option. I do go out every wensday to the shops with bub but still feel isolated otherdays. I have started getting up and walking with the older ones to school and having a chat with the other mums and my best freind now has tuesdays off work so go to visit. But I do think next year will try to do something for me.

    I agree! I love being at home, and I keep very busy, I would just miss my kids too much if I were to go back to work. I have great friends that are also sahm's which helps. It is only 5 years from birth to school, so try to enjoy it, it really is such a short time in the grand scheme of things.
