Default 35 weeks hindwater break. In hospital at the moment.

I had a hindwater break this morning and have been admitted to the hospital.

The Dr said labour may start by itself or if hasnt, they will bring me on sometime in the next week.

I have the runs and feeling nauseous so feel like labour may start by itself very soon.

They say my baby will be ok if born now but I am quite worried. Has this happened to anybody else...any advice?

My ds1 was born at 37weeks and he is a happy healthy 5yr old My hind waters broke and I was admitted to hospital, contractions started about 3hours later but labour didnt progress. I was induced (the drip) at about 4pm and Zac was born at 6:50pm. He was small but he was healthy (5lb 15oz)

My friend had the same thing happen at 36 weeks and the baby was breech so she had an emergency CS. Everything was fine with her and the bub and she was only a week ahead of you. At least you are in the best place so I'm sure bubs will be fine. Take care and keep us updated

Full term is classed anywhere from 38-42 weeks so i think your baby will be fine!! The doctors said it will be ok and im sure that they are right. Good luck with your impending labour. Hope its fast and all goes well.

It happened to me. I had a slow leak overnight and all the next morning. I didn't know what it was though as I was only 36 weeks and not expecting it to be that. (I thought it was urine actually, lol). However, mid morning the next day, my waters broke with a huge gush - in the hallway at work He was a good weight, considering he was a 36 weeker, and length - I'd hate to see what he would have weighed if he was born at 40 weeks actually! He did have a few problems such as jaundice which required phototherapy for 48 hours, and he also had problmes attaching to the breast. These problems persisted until I stopped breast feeding him at 6.5 months.
He is now a very healthy and happy 4.5 year old.

everything goes fine for you. Good luck
