Are there any Kiwi mums on the southside brissy wanting to chat or catch up ... promise I wont dribble on about how wonderful nz is not that delusional!

    Hi

I'm also living in South-East Brisbane, but I do venture to Tarrigindi (sp?) most days for work.

I don't really miss NZ that much but I do miss my friends and family - I'm actually heading back on Wed for a couple of weeks to see them...before I get too big

Maybe we could organise a meet up with QTB (and whoever else wants to join in, at the end of September??

Hubby and I have been discussing moving to Tauranga next year. We miss the green, the lakes and rivers, and the mountains (skiing). Don't think we will though - with house prices very high, wages low and interest rates high but if that change then we may well.
Problem is it feels so freezing to me here at the moment! And I know this is warm compared to what it is in NZ.
If you organise a catch up let me know... originally from Palmerston North / Wellington.

    Default Catch up sounds great

I agree it is friends and family that I miss .... funny how I always say friends before family I lived on the gold coast for 4 years then returned home (Whangaparaoa) for 18mths and came back last September. Isnt it funny this winter here I've been whinging about the cold and yet I think how freezing it is at home I dont have much of a life at the moment due to still! but hopefully that will stop soon (im now 15weeks!). I'm taking my son to Sydney last week of the school hols, but the weekend before might be good to catch up for me. How does everyone else feel about that time??

    Hi

I have just found this site and wanted to say it is really nice to meet some other kiwis - I am from Christchurch - miss it terribly - most family and friends

My husband and family (2 girls - 7 week old and 3 year old) are always tossing up whether to go home but as someone mentioned low wages and high costs keep us here in Brissie. Maybe one day - NZ is too beautiful to stay away for ever.

I am living in Graceville in West Brisbane - is anyone interested in meeting up for coffee/chat/outings.
