    Hello

I am on Zoloft 50mg, i was on them through my pregnancy & breastfeeding .. I have suffered lots of anxiety over the past few years... its helped so much.. its very safe to be on them & breastfeed... if your concerned ask your Doc the Net gives conflicting advice.Counselling will be helpful have you thought about that?

i have been on zoloft on and off since having dd, both bf and also whilst pregnant. I have been on them throughout this whole pregnancy apart from the last 2 weeks as i feel i need a break and i can manage without them its mainly for my anxiety and panic attacks but i am managing and quiet proud of myself that i have as well

If you dont feel ready to come off them then dont, they really helped me and really made me feel alot better. Chat to your gp though some say go off it where as some say stay on it and i was advised it was ok to stay on them from 2 different obs so thats usually a good sign

Please be careful when deciding whether to wean or not off meds. I suffered severe pnd with my 1st. I wasn't going to have a 2nd due to fear of the same happening again. I think stopping my meds abruptly contributed to the decline in my mental wellbeing. My Dr recommended to wean off AROPAX before having my 2nd. It was a hard decision, but I chose to continue with AROPAX. I didn't suffer any depression during my 2nd pregnancy and my dd is 4mths. I have no regrets with the decision I made.

I agree with alexiasmum. I too had very severe depression after my firstborn.

With my second pregnancy and with the guidance of my psychologist and GP, I decided that I was much better off continuing the medication during that time.

My son is now 9 weeks old and he is the most relaxed baby I have ever come across
