new to here

Hi! I posted on the introductions and got pointed in this direction. I'm moving to Newcastle from the UK next week with hubby and my 2 girls age 1 and 3. Don't know where we'll settle as we haven't got a house fixed up yet but just wanted to say hello and I look forward to meeting people here. Any tips or advice on life in Newcastle would be much appreciated!

I am from the UK and been here 3 yrs this week.
It will be a huge change for you but you will love it!!
Very few poms here tho.....most hit the big cities I think.

We moved to Newcastle from the UK back in January.I am an aussie but hubby is a pom, I convinced him to move back to oz after living in London for past 6 years. We have two boys 3 years and 4 weeks.There are lots of friendly ladies here, and lot's of meetups so hopefully you can come along to one when you get here.

Hi all. thank you for your welcome messages. do you post here to say when and where you have meets? we're a bit chaotic just now so i don't expect I'll get to post again til we're moved but I'll try to get to one of your meets soon after we get to Newcastle.
