Default Book Week Dress Up as Your Favourite Book Character Help!

    HI everyone,

On Friday, my DD (22 months) has a dress up day at Child Care for Book Week.

I have decided to send her as The Green Sheep, from Mem Fox's Where is The Green Sheep, as she loves the book.

Can anyone give me some idea's?

    Thanks

I think a sheep is a hard task to set yourself but I would go a green outfit with just a headpiece (cardboard ears turned down on a headband with green cotton buds all over it) and a little green fluffy tail....

What about just green clothes, with a cottonwool tail and some cotton wool on a headband?

get some wadding from spotlight and a can of green spray paint paint it green, go with the head band as others have said and somehow wrap this around her, or just stick it to her back and get her to wear it with green clothing

I love inventive parents at Book Week, it't the highlight of the day. (I steal ideas and store them in my memory bank for when my own children are older) What about a green shaggy bathmat. that would work, then add ears and a tail, and cause he was fast asleep he could have a sleeping mask or a pillow.

Thankyou everyone for your fantastic idea's.

I've found a green outfit in her wardrobe, that should fit. I'm going to get the cotton wool and cover her outfit with it.

I've found a picture of some cool sheeps ears, to make a head band.

If I have the time, I'm going to get some butterfly wings and cover them with leaves to look like the bush that the sheep is sleeping behind...

....Now I've got to work out my costume...I'm thinking I might be the Clown Sheep (yes I work at the centre too), and seeing I told my staff they have to dress up I have to make a greater effort. lol

(This way I'll be in theme with DD)

I shall send photo's after the event.

Any more idea's will be much appreciated. For mine I'm thinking of coloured cotton wool stuck to my uniform with a party hat
