    Question Dizzyness!!!...

Ok... I am 8 and a bit weeks pregnant... and I suffered it with Tyler badly for months.... but I am at my wits end with it at the moment.... especially having to run around after Tyler...

I cannot stand up to quick, or turn my head too quick... and by too quick I mean anything under a couple of minutes... I literally have to wean myself to get up...

I can even be standing at the sink and things will go dizzy... so dizzy I have to hold onto something otherwise I would fall over....

Does/Has anyone else had this problem??... and if so what did you do to combat it??....

    TIA girls...

Hi I've been really dizzy a lot too - I'm 13 weeks pregnant with a 16month old DS and its really hard, especially when he wants to be picked up. When it gets really bad I think of going to the doctor, but then I think since I'm so dizzy I shouldnt drive. I just try to eat regularly (difficult with m/s) and also drink a lot more, if it's bad I have juice for the extra sugar. Doesnt always help but thats all I can think of - I'm interested to see what others have to say and reassured its normal because I didnt get this with DS - but then again when I was pregnant with DS I was able to rest a lot more.

I have had it with both pregnancies. With DS it got too much for me so i went to the doctors because a friend suggested that i might have been low in iron. But when the blood results came back i actually had too much iron in my system, so much that if i had just taken an iron tablet instead of seeing the doctor it could have done some real harm.

I just take my time getting up and have to take breaks while doing the dishes and housework. It seems to be working so far.

    Sorry i'm not much help

I felt dizzy for the weeks that I experienced MS. I know I am prone to getting low blood sugar, and constant snacking between small meals (on healthy foods like almonds/ dried fruit etc)to keep up my blood sugar helped me through both the MS and dizzy feelings.

Your blood pressure could be low too, so is another thing to get checked out with your DR in addition to your iron and sugar levels.

    Good Luck

I got alot of dizziness when i was pregnant with ds as well as headaches.

I was that dizzy once i ended up in hospital.

I went to the chiro and that seemed to help alot.

i had really bad dizzy spells too and my life savers were those noodles in a cup, the ones you pour hot water in, cover and let sit for a few minutes. Not sure why but after eating them it was like an instant, omg i feel better!! Maybe give that a try suggar seemed to help sometimes but i found the hit of salt really helped me

I get really dizzy too Cass but I always have, it's just a little worse now that I'm pregnant. Mine is caused from low blood pressure.

Thanks for all the replies girls....

I have had heaps of tests done... my blood pressure is always text book.... as are all my iron levels and sugar levels etc... Docotrs reckon they have never seen such perfect levels

I have found a bit of sugar has helped... maybe I will have to permanently have a bag of lollies or something on me... just in case... I just have to be careful as I get really horrible heartburn and my insides are a mess from suffering it really bad with Tyler... so juices and things are a big no no for me.... maybe frozen or cooled small % juices would be ok???

    hmmm... the joys of pregnancy....
