Default 7 weeks after having baby & not quite 100% down there yet?

    hi ladies,

had baby 7weeks ago but i don't feel normal down there yet? i had 2nd degree tears but no stitches and i don't think that part is sore anymore but moreso my bum?

i'd like to try and be intimate with hubby again soon because i did deprive him of any intimacy throughout the pregnancy but am scared the natural healing hasn't happened with the perineum as yet? Does anyone know how long it generally takes to heal?

is anyone else's bum sorer than the vagina?

    ????

If you feel as though something is wrong then get it checked out. I had huge problems after having ds and i do have a thread under birth trauma called my story if you want to have a squiz, i felt something was different but i waited and didn't trust my instincts....But hopefully everything will be just fine. Its only been 7 weeks and sometimes it can take awhile. Tell hubby he'll just have too wait!! A couple more weeks won't hurt!!! hopefully you will feel better soon
A friend will stick up for you and calm you down when your mad....... but a best friend will skip alongside you with a shovel giggling "someones gonna get it!"

Oooo I so identify with how you are feeling Not right now, of course, but I remember well

Both times, DH and I didn't DTD until about 3 months after the birth, that's just what suited us and by then I felt like it better. DH is wonderful, he would never allow me to feel like I was depriving him, or that I should hurry up when it comes to feeling ready.

I had *ahem* anal fissures (far out I can't believe I just said that ) and I remember them being painful on-and-off until 6 months or so after the birth. I think that Metamucil and only eating wholegrain breads, pasta and rice helped, as did a high-fiber cereal and plenty of fruit.

I really think that the sort of stuff we are talking about here is totally normal, and common- it's just that we don't talk about it much. It's not incredibly charming stuff!

I'm going to log off now, I'm so embarrassed after saying that 'a' word

Have you had you post baby check up yet?? Your Dr will let you know if you are healing properly... As for being sore, it can take a while, and yep my behind was sore for quite a while even after my stitches had healed.... Time and salt baths helped soothe the area and after a little while it was all normal..

Definately check with your Dr to make sure everything is alright down there..
