    Thumbs up Whitsundays!

Hi there - we recently went to the whitsundays (Airlie beach) and I cant go on about how great it is for the littlies and the big kids!! We have travelled quite a bit with our 2 year old and now 4 month old and we loved it so much we are booked to go back there next feb. Last time we stayed at the coral sea resort but this time we have booked an apartment. There is also a baby hire company up there so you dont have to drag everything on the plane! Just thought this travelling mum would let you know its a with children.

    Hi,
we're going next weekend, did you stay at one of the islands or at Airlie? What sort of things did you get up to with the kids?

Ohhhhh we are going to Hamilton Island in November for a week. I am so excited. I was wondering if it is child friendly but i have heard the greatest things about the Whitsundays.

Hi - we stayed at Airlie but did day trips to the islands. Airliee has this amazing lagoon area which has different playgrounds and lagoons for different age groups - along with BBQ facilities and full time lifeguards! It is so amazing!! Our toddler loved going out on the boat and next time we are taking her snorkling on the barrier reef. I rang the company - I think it is cruisewhitsundays and they have a kiddies paddle pool and everything on the glass bottom boat as well as a slippery slide and things for kids when you get to the pontoon. It is such a great place! Hamilton Island also was a real winner with heaps of activities and things for the little ones! Let me know what you think!
