Default activities for 3 1/2 month old

    Hi all

I have a 3 and a half month old. Other than lying under the play gym, handing him toys to play with (he drops them and can't retrive them yet), playing in the swing, reading books and going for walks and singing, what other things would you suggest are good for that age group that you did or do??

My DD loved having soft peices of material run over her face. At first we used wipes and gently wiped them over her face but when she started giggling we started using all sorts of materials for different sensations. We used singlets, tea towels, polar fleece, satin pillow cases. She loved it.

starfish finds 'climb mumma mountain' a hoot -- i lie down on the couch or bed, put her tummy down on my chest, and just let her climb around. best bit is i get to lie down!

When you sing do you do the actions with him? My 4 month old loves doing the actions to the "Wheels on the Bus" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". She also likes it if we move her legs around like she is on a bike.

I also take her to a playgroup which has other kids her age so she can lie and look at someone her size.

One thing I used to do was take all of DD things outside onto the lawn (on top of a rug, in the shade) and let her play in the fresh air.. She loved it and loved watching the trees and sky..
