Default surely they can't force me to have a c/s!!?

surely not. I have rights and it would be unethical for them to force surgery on me when I don't want/need it.
The reason why I'm asking is that my local hospital (the only one that will let me in) does not do VBAmultipleC, so does that mean I can't have a natural bith there? surely not. As we couldn't afford a homebirth, the only other option would be to go unassisted

Can you opt for a private OB that reflects your position on this?
It sucks doesn't it they keep saying that the C sections are higher in private hospitals but yet if you want to have a VBAC it seems that you have to have a private OBS???????????

a private ob would proabably be too costly too, that and I really don't trust them ( I know it's bad to generalise, but I've had bad experiences)
But really, can they strap me down and force me into surgery against my will? What can they do?

no, if they touch you w/o your consent its assault! if we have another bub one day i'll be facing the same issue, my vbac attempt with this bub ended with another c section.

Yes, well, that's right, logistically they CAN'T force anything of the kind onto you, but their MO is usually to withdraw any kind of support at all and bludgeon you with emotive **** such as you are risking the life of your baby blah blah until you cave.

    Bloody lovely huh?

Is it possible to use the baby bonus to pay for a indy midwife?
Are you at all in the frame of mind to freebirth?

So sorry your basic human rights are being denied.

well, we could use the baby bonus, but we really rather wouldn't, we are trying to save up money to go to India in 2009.
I am considering freebirth as probably the only option, I think it would be best, but convincing DH might be a little trickier.
I know what you mean about their emotive arguments, they did that to me last time.
    This really is wrong

yes, I have been looking at that section. Thanks for your support. Why do I have to feel like I am doing a risky stupid ting by giving birth as nature intended

why did you have to have your first 2 c/s??
no, they can´t force you, sure. but on the other hand side maybe a c/s would be safer, depending on the reasons for your previous c/s´s.
surely, you CAN have a VBA2C without any dramas!!

my first c/s, I was in labour for 25 hours and only got to 4.5 cms, so they told me I had to have one or my baby 'could' go in distress. She was fine, I was fine... I know for sure that it was unecessary and I am having lots of trouble getting over it!

my second c/s. My water broke and we tried everything (natural, they wouldn't induce me) to get labour started and it didn't, nothing happened, they let me wait 3 days and still nothing. I wasn't prepared to wait any longer as the risk of infection was already quite high. We gave it all we had and tere was nothing more we could've done, I am satisfied about that this time.

Now I am worried that my body just doesn't know how to have a baby. I mean after 3 days, why wouldn't labour even start?? that is just such a rare occurance
