New to site

Hi,

I'm new to this site, i'm glad to have found it.
I had a baby boy (Declan) last year, his wonderful and so is my husband, but I'm not from Canberra so what girlfriends I do have don't have children. It would be nice to talk to someone about my son and parenting problems without boring them.

Currently I've had to go back to work, which I've found worse cause I can't attend mothers group.

I'm looking for some mums to talk to.

I hope someone can help.

i have a little boy too, his name is Riley and he will be 6 months in a little under 2 weeks, we actually had a meet today at kids rampage in tuggeranong, what area are you in we have a wide range of areas we are in, im in Bonython and i know there are quite a few of us over this side and over the other side of town too... would love to have a chat sometime, like to find out all the things too look forward to with Riley so you can pm me or email me im always around...
maybe we could have another meet that you could come to soon...

I also have a son, who's not yet one, so anytime you want to chat about your son and parenting problems, fell free to chat my way.

We have only just moved to Canberra, so like you, I don't have a lot of girlfriends down here - not yet anyway! I met up with some of the hub girls today though, so hopefully we can organise something on a weekend or a day you're not working so you can come along and meet some other young mums.

I had to return to work too which I found really hard as I couldn't attend a mother's group and no-one at work cared about my baby babble, so I can understand how you feel.

Any time you want to chat, I'm here, as I'm sure, are plenty of the other Canberra hubbers.

i have a DD who is 1 and a monster!

what part of canberra are you from?
im in chisholm and me and DH moved here early last year and we too don't know many people with kids.
we had a good time today at our meet up today, we will have to have another one soon so you and your DS can come along.

I have 2 boys, that are big handfulls, aged 1 and 2.5. We were at the meet up today too, and there are some really lovely ACT mums on the hub. I don't have many mum friends either, so it's been great to meet up with the other mums online, and IRL.
I hope we keep getting together more frequently, I've really enjoyed it!

It's nice to hear that other mums feel the way I do.

I'm living in Gungahlin and I'd love to attend some of the meetings.

I'd definately love to chat about, well anything about parenthood.

I guess I'll speak to you all soon.
