    Default Nappy rash and banana???

    Hi
Fed my 6mth dd mushy banana with her morning farex for four days straight. On the forth day by the afternoon she had shocking nappy rash. The thing is, I changed her on the second night from s26 gold baby to s26 follow on formula which was age appropriate etc.. so am now confused about what may be causing the rash. We are still continuing the formula but have stopped the banana and the rash is now 3 days old and still bad.

Am using hydrozole on it and it seems sometimes to be working but others not...

Has anyone experienced this or can help on what is the problem. How long does it take to move the banana through her system....

    Feel very sad for her.

It may not be the banana. If you changed her formula aswell that might have something to do with it.

Otherwise... Aloe vera!! Straight on the bottom!! Works a treat I just buy aloe vera gel instead of rash cream.

Ill tell u my experience with Banana and DD

Personally i hate banana, cant stand the smell or texture.
When i gave it to dd she got really bad nappy rash! I took her to the dr and she prescribed some cream. She said b/c i have this "replusion" (hehe) to it, i could be allergic and looks like DD prob is as well.

That said. It could just as easily be the formula for u guys as well! Digestion wise, id guess maybe 48hrs and it would be out??

    Goodluck! xx

    Hi and thanks,

If it is the formula, can you continue to use the birth formula instead of the follow on formula until they are 12 mths or will this lead to over feeding???

    Hi Toriandjess

I posted in your bottlefeeding thread. But over feeding wouldn't be an issue, because your DD is still only going to drink the same quantity of milk, it's just that the ingredients in the milk will differ slightly.
