OMG - Sticky Poo!!

This might be a little gross but if I can't talk about it on bubhub, then where

For the last 2 or 3 days my 3yr old DD has been complaining she has a sore bum but can't really tell me where - it seems to be her bumhole from what I can tell by her reactions to being wiped.

AND......she has had the stickiest poo ever!! It is kind of oily and very sticky (sticks to her skin, sticks to her nappy, sticks to toilet paper - when she decides to use the toilet, sticks to her knickers if she has an accident), not runny. It is literally a toffee-like consistency. She has also been pooing up to 3 times a day where as she usually only goes once a day but doesn't seem to have an upset tummy or diahorrea (sp?).

Anyway, her diet has not changed but we are away at my mums and we are on tank water but she only drinks bottled water so only brushes teeth and baths in the tank stuff (it is filtered and all that). This is the only thing I can think of that has changed over the last week or so. She did devour a bag of M&M choccies the other day but I would have thought if it was caused by chocolate it would have ceased after 24 hours. She is usually very regular and solid - so this is weird for her (and me).

Have anyone else's kids had sticky poo problems? Did you know the cause and how did you fix it?

IME chocolate would make it harder and more constipated... sticky leans towards the fruit groups. With stone fruit season right upon us, could it be an indulgence in that?
If the problem persists I would go to a doctor, poos are generally our first indication that something *may* be wrong. Best be sure IMO.
