c/s birth plan

I have written up a c/s birth plan but just wondering wether it is worth sending, will they take it seriously do u think?

Dear Maternity ward staff & everyone involved in the delivery,

I have created the following birth plan to help you understand my wishes for my upcoming birth of my baby by caesarean. It is my hope that you will assist me in making this the experience I hope for.
If you have any Questions please let me know before the delivery date.

Before Delivery

I do not wish for the catheter to be inserted until I have been given the spinal anesthetic for person reasons I do not wish to discuss.

Caesarean

I would like my partner Dirk ******* to be present at all times through the delivery unless I require General Anesthetic.

I would like Spinal Anesthetic as opposed to an epidural.

If my son is not in distress I would like him to be given to Dirk to be held for the remainder of the procedure.

If possible I would like my son to be wrapped in a blanket brought in by myself so that in the time we are apart the blanket will provide my scent in the time I can not hold him directly after the birth and while in recovery.

I would also like to have my son be returned to me as soon as possible after leaving theatre.

Feeding

I will be bottle feeding my son and will provide all bottles, formula and sterilization equipment and would appreciate any help in regards to feeding.

Photos

I will be providing a digital camera to take photos of the delivery to be taken either by Dirk or an assistant in theatre.

There is no reason why a well worded & polite birth plan (as yours is) shouldn't be taken seriously just because you're having a c/s.
