    Default counting calories!!

For those of you lovely ladies on a "diet" or as i like to call it healthy weight loss plan How many calories do you consume per day? Im on calorie king and they say I can have 1440 and more if I exercise, ive been exercising a fair bit (an hour 5 days of the week, sometimes 6) and most days eating my extra calories from exercise and dont seem to be losing weight. Any ideas?? Another lady has suggested not eating the exercise calories. I thought I would post on here to see if any one has any ideas and also compare the calories you consume, if you count them and wether or not you lose weight.

    Cheers!!
    Sorry to blabber on...
    Laura

    Hi Laura,

It's worked for me in the past. Last year, I lost 7 kg from calorie counting.

It depends what the calories are from: Protein, carbs or fats. Your body metabolises them differently. If you eat lean protein with every meal, your body will burn it more quickly.
What kind of food your eating and how many times a day?
It sounds like your excercising efforts are good. Keep doing it. But I agree, don't eat the extra food.
You need to have a defecit of about 100 calories before the weight starts to come off.

If you have the chance to excercise in the morning, you will burn more fat throught the day because your metabolism will stay raised for longer.

I just saw your motivation thread and noticed that your weight reduction goal is very similar to mine.
I'm at 72kg but I want to get down to 60kg by the end of the year.
I hope I can do it.

My recent findings, get some vitamin tablets! I've recently started taking some and that's given me the boost I need to start losing weight again, I also haven't been counting calories or stressing over what I've been eating.

I eat really healthily usually, porridge in the morning with honey, a coffee and some dried apricots. Lunch is usually a sandwich and dinner is a meat portion 120g usually and vegies. my snacks are usually fruit!

Babylover- what vitamins?? Im going to the chemist today or tomorrow and am thinking of getting a vitamin b tablet or something with iron and zinc. Might just get a multivitamin....

    Thanks for the help guys

My vitamins are great but they're hard to find, they're called Hivita megavitamin formula in a blue bottle with rainbow colours in lines down the bottom. Ask for them because they're GREAT!
