I'm new to the ezcema world but thought I'd let you know about a new prescription cream available that doesn't have steroids in it.

Its called Elidel and is covered by the PBS if your baby is over 3 months old. Mine isn't and it cost me $60

We were also advised to use QV's "kids balm' at night. Its a lovely thick moisturiser thats made for irriated skin and ezcema.

While I'm here: as discussed in other threads the Failsafe Diet is good for those who are effected by foods (including fully breastfed babies like mine).

Oli has had excema since about 6 weeks old (he is 6 months now). To get the PBS you need to be tracked by a doctor for three months before you get it cheaper- Oli should be getting it next week.

I looked on the Elidel website and got a fright as it says that it is not for infants under 2 years of age... but the info provided to the doc says it is ok over 3 months of age, but only for a very short period of time. I just hope that it gets rid of the itchiness for him!
