    Default Play Dough

I would love to make some playdough for DS. I have heard its very cheap to make yourself.

But, the problem is I don't know how to make it.

Please help me, with a recipe.

I can't recall the recipe off hand, but I do know that it is usually on the carton of the cream of tartar.

It is very quick and simple to make, and if keep in an air tight container keeps for ages.

    Hope this has helped.

The Play School website has one....but I use this one, lasts for ages...

    1 cup of flour
    1 cup of salt
    1 cup of water
    1 TBS Cream of Tatar
    Add colouring.
    Cook in saucepan til thick.

I use hot (almost boiling) water so you do not have to cook it.

    good luck

    I made some this afternoon!

    2 cups of plain flour
    1 cup salt
    2 tbs oil
    4tbs cream of tartar
    colouring
and the trick ingredient - BOILING WATER - 2 cups approx

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, add oil. then boil your kettle. If it has automatic cut off, then hold the switch up for an extra 30 secs or so, so that the water is really boiling.

Add liquid colouring to the water, then add 3/4 of the water to the dry stuff. Mix, add left over water a bit at a time if needed.

Knead on a floured bench until cool, play with it whilst its warm (cause that when it's nicest!) and store in the fridge.

I have kept this playdough for months.
