Smile Social activities for 16mth old girl

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend any good classes/activities for a 16mth old girl. I take her to a playgroup once a week but most of the activities - painting, glueing etc are just a little advanced for her. I was thinking in the line of Kindermusik (expensive? is it worth it) , gymboree etc. Would love to hear of others experiences and results.

    Hi Sue

How about Kindergym at the YMCA. My 2 year old daughter goes and loves it. It is a combination of playing on the gymnastics equipment such as rings, beam and trampoline and singing and dancing. The classes are about 45 mins long and cost approximately $7 per class (a lot cheaper than gymboree).

I am pretty sure they have classes for younger children as well.

You could also check out the stroller circuits that the Brisbane City Council run. See www.ourbrisbane.com.au

    Hope this helps

I put both of my children in Baby Gymnastics at the local PCYC when they were 15 months old. They love it. My son doesn't go anymore (he's in kindy now) but my daughter still attends each week. It's not expensive either, about $60 a term which works out to be about $6-7 a week.
