My dd escapes out of trolleys. She can undo the belt thing...it is annoying. But i try to stay with one hand on her if i can while i'm looking at food.

If she falls out she's not going to die. She rolls off the couch at least once a day so i'm not too worried. But parents worry about diff things and thats ok

Nobody is a bad mum if they let there child stand, I just personally have a scary attachement to things like this and always make sure the harness or buckles are done up... or sit a blanket in the trolley and have them sit while I shop... I suppose too because I am always looking after others children then I am overly safety concious so nothing ever happens to there little ones??
Thank you. Yes its the prams that worry me the most.

they laugh! It's fun he only does it a few times while they're sitting down that way they think shopping is fun it's not like he pushes the tolly away from him to throw it into a spin he just twerls (sp?) it around close to him. i dont like the pram thing tho not much space to move and easily tipped over.

Hate to burst your bubble Kiah but I used to work at a supermarket and one night a little boy fell from a trolley and suffered severe brain damage. No he didn't die but he was in a very bad way for a very long time.
And considering most shop floors are concrete....

Well, the only way I can use my pram at all is if I let my son stand up looking at me. He has screamed everytime he was put in the pram from the first day we used it. He is too heavy now to carry everywhere so he stands in the pram and I hold onto his shirt.

hmm. well my DS is 4.5 and occasionally he will stand on the end of the trolley. how on earth is one supposed to get groceries, as a sole parent of 2 kids, without putting them in a trolley?

DD sits in the seat and DS stands on it or walks, cos our coles has ONE double trolley. he may stand in it too, he cant even fit in it sitting.

oohh ouch poor boy!!! but then again if my DD was being silly like jumping up and down or sitting on the edge of trolley i would tell her to get off or stop it... she is usually good in trolley anyway

I agree its hard trying to control one kid on loose while bubba in baby capsule so it is better to have DD in trolley for my sanity!

Yup I find standing on the end of the trolley good once they get to this age. Just not on the sides otherwise whee flip! trolleys gone lol.

Shouldn't laugh about it really... lol but thats what happens...

My son stands up in the main part of the trolley, OMG......

For the simple fact that he either tries to walk and push the trolley, and rams it into people....

It is hard to get him in and out of the seat, as he has long legs and its quiet difficult.....

He runs away from me to look at what HE wants to look at.....

Or he tries to stand up in the seat, which I would be more concerned about.....

Is that ok BB??????? GGGRRRRRR I BITE
