Toddlers standing in prams or trolleys

I cannot believe the number of kids I have seen lately standing up in a trolley or in the pram backwards holding on

I really do not understand why anyone would do this. It makes me cringe and I just want to go over and ask WHY???? Why would you do this?

Can anyone tell me??

so do my child!! in trolley!!! what is wrong with that?? its hard enough having a baby in the capsule I would rather DD to be in trolley than walking beside me I get the shopping done quicker

I am a "bad mum" too. Bub is terrible for standing up in both. He just rather run around and drive me insane (and probably others) He tries to stand even with the harness on. And even in the car seat.
Am I a worse Mum if I sedate him?

im trying to get dd to get out of the habit of standing on the side of them

when i was at woollies a while back there was a what looked like 9mth old girl sitting in the child seat and her sis was playing on the side of the trolley, her grandmother was unloading trolley items onto conveyer when all of a sudden the trolley went over!! the lil girls weight had tipped it over ... luckily they werent hurt at all, but there was alot of screaming and tears from both kiddies.. it was horrible to see. It scared the begeezes outta me. I realise how dangerous it is now.

ds1 stands up while in the trolley sometimes, it is very hard to keep him sitting down

Noah has to go in the trolley now that Lachlan is too big for the capsule seat thing. I try an encourage him to sit when we're moving but he likes to see everything.

It's the only way I can get groceries when I'm shopping with both kidlets because the double pram doesn't have any places to put things. And it's much safer then letting Noah run off

tho i think if they just sit in the bottom of the trolley and dont move they dont any harm

i dont think DD has ever been in the main part of a trolly much, so she has not had much of a chance to stand up in one, but i dare say she will, she is only in there when i have my neice with me.

when she is in her pram she likes to climb out, we have tried everything to keep her in but when she wants out she wants out, her way to do this is to wriggle out the top of her straps, standing up while she does it.....if i am walking along and she does this yes sometimes she will turn around for a few seconds and hold onto the back of the pram (while i hold onto her hands), but that is mainly when i am walking in a crowed and cant stop to sort her out.

I once saw a toddler fall out of a trolley. It wasnt pretty.

I dont know. Maybe im over reacting. I have never had any trouble with either of my kids staying in prams. Just asking a question. Dont bite my head off
