average price for high afternoon tea

i was looking at having an afternoon tea in a cafe to excape the worries of cooking and cleaning etc. but they all seem to be quite expensive.

whats the average price per person for a high afternoon tea usually??

You could always do your own little high tea under a small marquee.
Some yummy tea and range of sandwhiches, some cute little cupcakes, some strawberries dipped in chocolate?

As a basic guide:

At High Societea in Clayfield the Baby Shower high tea package is $32.50 per person. Savoury and gluten free high tea is $34.00 .

At Joseph Alexander on Coronation drive, Brisbane is $32.50 for high tea or a savoury high tea is $36.50.

The Stamford Plaza does an excellent high tea, when I went I had the chocolate high tea which was $32.50. Or, you can have traditional high tea which is $24.50
