My son drank ALOT, i would feed him when ever he was hungry, didnt bother going by the "4 hour" thing and was a big boy, its a good thing if he's a chubba, if he ever gets sick you know he wont go downhill fast and h will take it off when he starts crawling/walking

I'm sure its just how your son is. My eldest is nearly three but has been 17kg since about age 2. He takes after my brothers and is just a big boy (not fat.) I have no idea where he puts it as he looks a normal size for his age. He was rather chubby when he was younger and only started losing most of his baby fat at 2years and 5months. I'm sure that your doctor would have said something at his check ups if they were worried about his age weight ratio.

My baby boy was the same..hes nearly 6 months old now and is over 10 kilos. I actually havent weighed him in a while so hes probably nearing 11...lol.

I think follow their lead. They let you know when theyre hungry..and when they've had enough!! I feed on demand and he definately lets me know when hes hungry. He has only just started solids 5 days ago, so most of that weight was from breast milk alone.

The doctor wasnt worried at all and said he'll stop putting on so much weight when he starts crawling!!

Well done on a happy, contented baby i say!!!

All bubs are different and grow at very different rates.

DS didn't hit 10kg until 2 years old
DD1 hit 10kg at at first birthday
    DD2 hit 10kg just after 9 months!

    All very different

if you are concerned talk to your child health nurse.. hopefully she will reassure you

DS is 4 months and 9 kilos.

DD was 21 kilos at three but stayed the same weight for three years. She has only just put on another kilo recently and she is six and a half. She just grew up instead of out!

What about his height etc? Is he relatively in proportion?

all I can say is all babies are different.

I hate the whole weight thing. Logan eats so much and has always had a huge appetite but he is 11 months and probably about 8kgs. Will be getting him weighed this week.

I am sick of strangers telling me he is too skinny, I cannot help that it runs in his genes and that he is so active.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it is hard trust me but if he is hungry feed him.
