Red face similar people & situations - new friends

Hi, I've been hanging around here for a little while, but am finding it difficult to have a chat with others in similar situation. I guess my DP and I are financially ok, but we have hassles like everyone else. We aren't on any government assistance due to our income - and at times, this can be difficult due to the amount we have to pay for everything.
I use to be a career person myself and am now a SAHM - so I go through periods of confusion and feeling down as my life has completely changed (in a positive way - most of the time. lol).... So, if there are others on here, that may be in a similar situation as myself - or are working and at times, find it a bit lonely, let me know.
Would love to have a chat to others who are having rough times - although it seems to the world we don't have a concern at all.....

    Happy chatting

    Hi
I totally understand you saying about the changes in your life when you stay at home.
Last year I was working full time, studying full time and doing all the household stuff, I love being busy Just before Christmas we found out I was pregnant .. hurey .. and I decided to be SAHM. Whow what a change from being so busy to stay at home and have no worries. The first month was just horrible for me. The car was not working - so I could not go anywhere - just not a happy time. I have to thank to my DH every day he came home, we went for a walk or out or something. He could see I was struggling at home. But after two months it all went away and I am happy. I am really glad I did stay at home before the bub is born, so I could adjust. Now I am so happy and looking forward to our little princess coming soon.

I know what you mean..I used to work full time, study part-time and had a very successful career and social life..
I was so happy when I found out I was pregnant (totally unplanned) but now that I am a SAHM, I find the adjustment takes a bit of getting used to.. I'm on maternity leave from work for a while but I still end up checking work emails (from my work laptop) and chatting to work colleagues about the office gossip!
My hubby works and earns enough but obviously could do with the double income.. no government assistance for us either..but a mortgage to pay!
I LOVE spending time with my DD but I wouldn't mind going back to work and earning the extra cash...
