Default Cost of second hand wool jumpers

I went looking at some of the second hand shops yesterday to try and find some wool jumpers that i could make some longies out of and nearly passed out when i saw the prices the cheapest one was $20 It seems very steep to me that a second hand place is charging that sort of price for second hand clothing that was donated to them in the first place. It seems that everything is getting more expensive.

That's rediculous, you could knit them for less than that from new clean wool.

My local Vinnies stores are really cheap, I'd try some different ones.

I know i was expecting to pay maybe $5-$10 each for them not $20 it seems that the stores i went into were over priced i will try a few more tomorrow. I paid 5.50 for a brand new never washed or worn Oshkosh 2 peice outfit at a life line store only a few weeks ago so i might go back there and see what they have got.
