i don't think it has anything to do with bf'ing i think it is more to do with the preg hormones, as i'm losing my hair too!!! my dd is 4 months old now and my hair started falling out about a month ago.....in HUGE clumps! but as i said i think its to do with preg hormones

OMG thank goodness for this thread...was feeling abnormal....My hair has been falling out since I started breast feeding DD now 6 months. Its like a wookie hair ball cloggs the drain when I wash my hair!
My hairdresser told me to brush my hair in the morning and night and especially before I wash it to avoid clogging the drain (Nice).
I would like to know if anyone can tell me when it will stop???Pleeease tell me that it will stop

yup its normal. i have the same problem, i swear its like i have a cat cos there are hairballs all over the place and i have to keep vacuming daily!

its just your hormones going down after pregnancy, which causes all that lovely hair that u gained during ur pregnancy to fall out. u can lose up to 60% of ur hair but not to worry because it does grow back when ur hormones stabilise.

i was scared id turn out like homer

I posted a thread about this a little while back cause my hair was falling out in clumps....I went to my doctor about it and she just said it was hormonal but it could also be a problem with your thyroid.....My thyroid was fine so that was good....i was losing hair for a good 4 months.
