So my DD is 13 weeks & has MPIA and is on neocate which seriously saved my life we finally had a solution to our problems & finally got to regularly see my sweetheart smile...then came the dha. Since lcp and gold have been the only ones available shes had severe cramping constipation colic & ended up in hospital twice. Im so stuck i cant just switch her to any other formula without dha & after researching how the dha is made & extracted & finding out about the numerous reports made to the FDA and there investigations & seeing her reactions im not comfortable feeding it too my bub. I feel terrible i thought we had finally turned a corner. Does anyone know where i can get the old neocate from. I have an authority script but i dont think the old tins are on the pbs anymore & i cant find a chemist that has it! :( any ideas?

My 11 week old daughter has struggled with feeding pretty much since day one. , even when breast fed. She grunts & groans during & after feeding, cries during feeds & arches her back & won't take much food. She also has disturbed sleep due to her belly. She is currently on soy after trying a number of others including pepti junior which was pediatrician prescribed. The pepti gave her severe diarrhea after a week. She is also on a reflux med called Zoton. I feel like I am bashing my head against a brick wall. The GPs say there is nothing they can do & to see the pediatrician again which I'm about to do but I feel like he doesn't really listen & has already decided what is wrong with her. She has been diagnosed with colic & reflux but to be honest I think it's her belly & the food going in as the discomfort is instant. Any ideas? I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

When my other children reached 1 I started them on normal milk so I am wondering what do I put him on? I don't want to keep him on baby formula (he has S26 LF gold) as I know toddlers and babies have different needs but I really don't know what to give him. Any of parents of lf babies out there? Can you please help?

Experience with prescription formula?

Help! My dd is almost 5 months. She has some health conditions that impair her weight gain and growth so those issues may/may not be related to her feeding issues.
Anyway...a few weeks ago she was hospitalized for her heart condition but also had severe constipation. Though her stools were not hard, just thick and very small causing her pain. She was breastfed with added calories and now is completely on formula and has been for a month or so.
Anyway.... After the constipation she had blood/mucous in her stools. I have posted about this before but my main question is really what are your experiences with prescription formula? She has suspected cmpi though the paed, dietician and me are not completely convinced. To hopefully see an improvement, the paed has put her on pept junior formula.
Since going on th formula I was told there would be an adjustment period, but her symptomsare:
- really unsettled, sleeps not going well and low volume on feeding
- reflux seems to be worse, a lot more vomits that make her unhappy, like maybe she's getting a burning sensation from it (I even started wonder if she had gastro she had chucked so much)
- very dark, almost liquid stools, but no blood
- crying episodes have increased.
- no weight gain for the last week but had had awesome weight gains on the old formula.

The paed is happy for me to go back to her normal formula, diagnostically that will tell us if she has cmpi as the blood will return. She seems a lot unhappier on the pepi junior than she did on regular formula. I'm just lost... The paed is happy to go the next step to elecare or similar but I fear that's even harder to get her to take.

Anyone else had problems with pepti junior? Or suspected cmpi that turned out to be incorrect?
