This is pretty low and pretty crappy. They are obviously doing it for the wrong reasons so how would you know they would take care of that unborn?

It is also extremely illegal in Australia.

My partner (49) and I (36) are a gay couple who have been together for more than 9 years. We live in Brisbane’s south east with our two dogs which we absolutely love and spoil. I have two younger brothers and my partner is one of eight. We are really close to our families and would really love to have a family of our own.

We started to look into having a family about two years ago and it all seemed too hard and therefore tried to forget about it. As I couldn’t forget about it, I started doing some research on line about a year ago and came across Surrogacy Australia, which we joined. Through Surrogacy Australia we met a couple in the same suburb who have been through surrogacy overseas, this inspired us to pursue having a family again. We attended the surrogacy forum in Brisbane and were motivated by the amazing speakers and gave us hope to the possibility of this happening locally for us.

We feel we have so much to offer a child and would be great loving and caring parents. We enjoy going for drives, to the beach, catch up with friends and family and also spend time working around our house. I work in the construction industry and my partner works in the antique industry.

We look forward to chatting to others about surrogacy and egg donation.

My name is Phoebe, I'm 22 and am looking at becoming a surrogate in Adelaide, SA, and I was wondering if anyone knew much about the laws here and how I would go about finding a family that is in need of a surrogate.

I am considering becoming a surrogate with my own eggs or someone else (I'm not phased), I'm more than happy with Gay couples and singles, I want a C-section only (no natural birth as my family always grows big babies!), and I am not looking at making any money out of this but I would be looking at getting some money to help with day-to-day expenses, elective C-section cost and any other pregnancy related expenses.

I would be happy to sign any legal documents and do not want to have anything to do with the child unless the child would like to meet me later on in their life.

I would also like any potential parents to provide me with police checks as I am concerned about the welfare of the child.


If anyone knows how I would go about finding families and also all the legal stuff that would be much appreciated!

I wanted to post a quick message to let you know that there are some good news stories. My hubby and I were approved last December for local adoption and permanent care and received a call just after Easter to say we have been linked with a little 9 week old baby girl through adoption.
To say we were happy is an understatement!!!!!
That was just a few weeks ago and we have our beautiful baby girl home with us now. She is a little darling and I truly feel like a mum...finally!
If anyone is going through this process or thinking of it, I would be more than happy to answer any questions about our situation.
