My baby died at 20 weeks a couple of months ago. Since then I have had such bad anxiety. In the beginning it was extreme I felt like I couldn't function and the thoughts in my head would never turn off it was like torture. The last month or so I have felt in control of it. Still with irrational thoughts but I could manage to let logic overcome them. Well today it has come back full force. I can not function. I am just a mess crying because I am sick of all of this pain when will it ever end?! I am yelling at my kids because I do not have the head space for them right now. I have no support no one to come and help. I am a mess. I feel so stupid that this is the only place I can ask for help or vent. I feel like such a loser that I have no one in my life who is there for me (other than my husband but he is always at work). I don't know how I am going to get through the day. I am seeing a psychiatrist but my appointment isn't for another 2 weeks. I just need to get through today but all I want to do is lay down and cry. I feel so embarrassed laying all my emotions out for the world to see I just don't know what to do.

This is just a vent about my DH. Who is Particularly ****ing me off this morning.
Ive been up since 5.30am with ds 5mths, who thinks this is a great wake up time to start the day . I tried to get him back to sleep but it lasted 40mins and i was up again so i just stayed up with him.....while DH slept thru it all.
Everynight he gets a complete full nights sleep. I get up and do a quick feed during the night, it's no big deal, really.
What is a big deal is DH complaining he is tired ALL THE TIME and sleeping untill 7.35am when he has to be at work at 8am. So i get no help whatso ever with the kids of a morning because he's running late all the time. He selfishly wants to get in as much sleep as possible in the mornings.
He is training to run a marathon and wants to fit in runs before work in the mornings....do you think the lazy thing will gt out of bed? NO. So i try to encourage him with a gentle reminder "babe, it's 6.30 are you running this morning?"......he grunts at me and rolls over snooring. Then later on i get the whole "look, im not a morning person and you know that so dont bug me about it everymonring...." well dont run the marathon then. i really couldnt care because you are not motivated in the slightest to train for it.
Anyways, as im sitting here, now being up for 3hours, DD has woken now. i can hear him snooring away. Yes he gave me a sleep in yesterday and it was lovely and i thanked him. but today it seems it's back to the daily grind and dh gets to go back to his usual daily sleepin's - on work days. How does that even make sense?
Im sick of him being such a bed body. Complaining he needs sleep - ummmm ds sleeps thru the night? yes he works all week but im home all week and i get just as tired and guess what? im up at 5.30am everyday without a choice in the matter.
Go to bed earlier, stop playing on your stupid iphone while the kids are around and for 2 hours before you fall asleep at night.
I hate him being so lazy latley.
When the kids go to bed at 7pm, he lays on the couch saying "i cant be botherd, can i just go to bed?" Argh.

Sorry, just had to get it out before he got up and i sammed him about it....but he's still sleeping away......

A lot of her friends replied that it wasn't a big deal and bathing every second day is more than enough.
Her children are 5 and almost 7.

My twins are 4 and DD3 is almost 6mo, all showered daily.
Twins play outside all day (sometimes with the dogs) and come in dirty, they spill food etc, I won't put them to bed unshowered.
6mo loves her showers and it's part of her bedtime routine at night as it relaxes her.

So how old are your children and how often do you bath/shower them?

Dp, the kids and I went and spent some time with her and I phoned her twice tonight. Her two sisters however, haven't phoned. Mum and ny auntys are quite close but personally I think they are both fairly selfish. I mean, your sisters husband passed away 12 months today, call her, see if she is ok? I just saw on Facebook one of my aunt's posted some pics from today of her grandkids and the album was called "great Sunday" I know it is irrational but I wanted to comment, no it's not a great Sunday, maybe instead if being so self absorbed you should call your sister and see how she is dealing with today??

I got my first period after my miscarriage this week. It came about 5 weeks after the m/c which is normal for me as my cycles are usually 35-37 days.

My period was a bit heavier than usual, with bright red blood which i dont usually get. There was no clots just bright red blood for the first 3 days. It wasn't extremely heavy, just more so than usual. My main concern is that I had NO symptoms before or during my period. I always get lower back cramps a few days before my period comes & for the first day of bleeding but I had no cramps at all. It didnt even feel like I had my period! I always know when it's coming as I get back cramps for a few days but this time I just woke up & it was there! Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a sign my hormone levels are not back to normal levels after the m/c?

I also only had a 12 day luteal phase - is that bad?

We wanted to start TTC again this month but I'm worried that my hormone levels still might not be back on track and if I was to fall pregnant I might not have the right hormone levels to support the pregnancy?

Am I being over paranoid? Or is all this normal for a first period after miscarriage? Do you think we are right to start TTC again? I just want to be pregnant again but I'm so scared!

My daughter is 12 weeks old, exclusively bf and feeds every 2 hours through the day. I know it is normal but it's becoming really tiring! She sleeps through the night (anywhere from 7-9pm through til 7-9am) so I know I'm very lucky in that regard. I know that it's best for her to be fed on demand and not to any routine but is it possible to stretch out her feeds without being detrimental to her or my supply, as I feed her for around 30 mins, play for 15-20 mins then spend 5-20 minutes settling her to sleep (depending on her mood & time of day) then only have around 50 minutes to run around doing the things I need to do before her next feed... Advice please!

Hi ladies
ok I'm doing my head in now... I had a miscarriage 6 weeks ago I was 6 weeks along when it happened and was all nautural had follow up scan and no tissue remained and bleeding lasted like a normal period 5 days for me. So here I am 6 weeks later waiting for AF OR possibly bfp! As we did try straight away as the doc said it was ok and I'm impatient.
my cycles before my miscarriage were 35days, so I took my first day of bleeding as my first cycle day however I am we'll overdue and yes I know there are all those others factors to consider like when my hcg levels dropped etc. I know I ovulated a little later than normal and so today would be 14dpo and I had some pink discharge after going to the loo which I remember have IB with my last pregnancy but it was exactly 7days before AF was due. Is this too late to be IB this time? I have been getting all the pulling pinching sensations again. Anyone else have this??

Good evening everyone. I'm new here and don't know if I posted in the right spot but basically I need an outsiders opinion. I have 2 year old daughter and am currently 16 weeks pregnant. Hubby and I purchased a house about 10months ago and have been renovating as we go. I'm not 100%happy with our house as we rushed to get it and now I'm thinking it was a bad decision to ever move out of my parents house. Lately I have been having feelings of depression and the other night my hubby and mum discussed us moving back in with them and renting out the house we worked so hard to get, so that mum can help out with my daughter and the new baby as well as us saving money for a house closer to them. On paper moving back makes so much sense because it would cut our travel time to work by over half and save us so much money on petrol and bills but I'm so confused over the decision. I feel like if we move back in with them were going backwards instead of moving forward as our own family. Sorry for the long post I just need someone's opinion who isn't scared of making me cry lol
thank you:p

I have to ask, because my DD is now standing holding on and I'm so paranoid and scared that she might fall or climb out of her cot one of these days.
I hate to admit it, but I often forget to lift her cot rails back up after lowering them them to place her to sleep (I've only just raised them due to her standing)... which means she could have easily toppled over had she woken while they were lowered.. and that scares the crap out of me.
My mum said I was climbing out of my own cot at 7 months old!

Anyway, has your baby/toddler had a fall from their cot? What happened?

I dont know how long it has been since I've seen the original Peter Pan ... but it has been YEARS!!!

If you do want to take your little ones (or heck .. go on your own .. rofl) you better hurry - apparently its only screening on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays at 10am at Hoyts (ONLY Hoyts) at Stafford, Sunnybank, Tweed and Redcliffe until June 5.

Its amazing to look back at how the older movies were made ..

my boys haven't stopped twitching (tick tock style, like the crocodile does throughout the movie lol) since seeing it ... so it clearly made an impact :D
My DD has recently turned 2 (donor sperm) and although I tell her all about the angel who helped us create her she is obviously too young to understand much or ask questions so far. I always wonder what, if anything, others tell their little ones? Any tips??

I saw an ad for spectra breast pumps. They claim to be on par with medela. Is this true? Has anyone used both brands? They are much much cheaper

I can't imagine when it would be an "easy" time to have my second. So my question is. When you decide to ttc your second, was it because your first got easier? Did you think "i could totally manage this and have a newborn!" or was it more cross your fingers and hope for the best?

Either way, I was thinking about things I would not want to make a career out of as such but want to experience. Just for one day.

For me, I've always wanted to work one shift as a stripper. Pole, shoes, the works, money down the g-string, lap dance, you name it. As I glance down at my post baby body....oh okay, it's lazy eating regimen after baby body...I know there ain't no way that's gonna happen so I continue to wonder.
Another one is flying a plane. The physics alone would send me googly eyed but, again, it's another thing I continue to wonder about.
What about you? What would you want to try, even for just a day?

My son has been on 3 bottles of cows milk per day for most of this year and we have been dropping him down to 2 bottles.
Things have been a bit out of sorts in our house with me being in hospital for a while. Then DS got sick and was given medicine for croup. I also think he is having a terrible time with teeth as he is drooling all over the place. About the same time (5-6 days ago) he started refusing milk from a bottle altogether.

He doesn't seem to be drinking as much water either. I am really worried that he will get dehydrated.

Any ideas or suggestions?

My husband and I are considering having another child. I've had one VB and two caesareans, one code blue emergency and the other an elective due to placenta previa.

What I am wondering is if we were lucky enough to have another child, if we went through the public system (I'm in NSW), would I be made to try for a VBAC or having had two previous caesareans could I opt for an elective?

Our elective caesarean was a wonderful, positive experience, whilst my experiences with having a natural birth and trying for one were very scary with the life of the child very much at risk.

Thanks in advance.

sent DH out to get some fresh salmon to cook but he came back with frozen salmon fillets... From a butcher????

Anyways I now have 3 large frozen skinless salmon fillets each individually vacum packed.

Should I microwave them in the pack until cooked? Or defrost them overnight in the fridge then cook as I would fresh salmon?

TIA
