Keeping the car ... getting a new pram and a new DP!!
So I finally remembered to take the pram out of my regular car and pop it into the boot of the Ford Focus.
And it was as if the boot was made for my pram ... as in, it was a nice, snug fit.
This sounds as though I should deduct a point for the Ford Focus (even though I'm not keeping score) but to be honest, this probably says more about my pram than the car.
Don't get me wrong I love my pram but the last thing I needed to consider when I bought it was whether it would fit in the roomy boot of our regular car (a large family sedan). Consequently it is the least compact pram I have ever seen. It doesn't even fold up as one piece - you have to remove the seat, collapse the base, put the base in the car then put the seat on top. Ugh ... obviously public transport is also out of the question with this pram ...
But I digress ... so once the pram was in the boot of the Ford Focus I really could only fit about a quarter of my groceries in there. The rest had to go in the backseat just out of The Toddler's sticky reach. Not ideal, but if I had a smaller car when I was pram shopping I probably would have bought a more compact pram ...
The other thing that doesn't fit in the car well is DP ... at least, he doesn't fit comfortably in the passenger seat when The Toddler's carseat is behind.
Maybe I should have shopped for a more compact DP too ...![]()
