The Red Hill Fair turns 30 this year, and has plenty to celebrate. Fantastic raffles, the now-famous silent auction, and of course tonnes of fun things to do on the day. Come and join the party on Saturday from 10am-3pm at Woolcock Park.
Einbunpin Festival celebrates Sandgate community spirit on Sunday with stalls, entertainment, and activities at Einbunpin Lagoon Parklands from 9am-4pm.
The Centenary Rocks! Festival sounds incredible this year, with music, markets, stalls, yoga, entertainment, helicopter joy rides (you read it right!!), the Carfest! car show, and a fantastic fireworks display on Saturday night. Don't miss it! Saturday from 10am-6.30pm and Sunday from 10 till 4pm.
To celebrate Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week, get down to Roma Street Parklands on Sunday from 10 till 3pm for the annual Picnic in the Park, featuring live performances from Dora the Explorer! There's plenty of other magical things to do, too. Check the website for more details.
The Billycart Markets are celebrating Christmas in July on Saturday at Sacred Heart Primary School, Sandgate. Yummy food, live music, and beautiful handmade goods all make for a fun family day out. Open 11 til 4pm.
The Delectable Food Festival winds up this weekend, and they've saved the yummiest treats for last. Matt Moran, Justin North, Luke Ngyuen, and Adam Brand are some of the fab foodies who will be workshopping it this weekend at Southbank. Kids will find plenty to tantalise their tastebuds at the Grow Series events, including the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation Treasure Hunt. Stradbroke Chamber of Music Festival promises sun, sand, and sultry tunes, all within the perfect Straddie locale. Concerts are scheduled throughout the entire weekend, starting Friday. Check the website for the sensational program.
Speaking of music, Qpac will be alive with the sound of music this weekend with its Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music film screening. Dress up, get happy, climb every mountain if you have to. Screenings in Friday and Saturday, see website for details.
A cultural delicacy in itself, the Wesley Mission Multicultural Festival brings colour and flavour to Chermside, with dancing, markets, face-painting and music. The day kicks off from 10am till 2pm at Wheller Gardens Parkview, 930 Gympie Road, Chermside.
