What's on in Brisbane this weekend: 15-17 June
Qpac's Out of the Box Festival for Children is the big calendar event this weekend, but just in case you have some spare time to fill outside your visits to South Bank, here are some other ideas on how to stuff some fun into your weekend:
The Noosa Long Weekend Festival kicks off today until 24 June (now that's my idea of a long weekend!). Focusing on food, dance, music, and the visual arts, there's plenty for everyone to enjoy, including workshops, performances and literary lunches. Book now if you want to go along to the FREE Kids Play Acting workshop for 5-9 year olds on this Sunday. Visit the official website for more details about the amazing array of activities on offer.
The Winter Wonderland Dolls, Bears, and Collectables Show is on Saturday and Sunday at RNA Showgrounds. Tonnes of FREE workshops and lectures are scheduled, plus FREE valuations of your treasured dolls by the experts. Doors open from 9.30 am; click here for more details.
Wayne Swan's Welcoming The Babies will be at Kidspace, Seventh Brigade Park, Chermside from 10am – 2pm. Fun activities, special appearances and entertainment will provide great fun for the whole family. Register your baby to take part in the celebrations and receive a certificate and goody bag.
Rosalie C&K Kindy is throwing their annual Kindy Fun Fair on Saturday from 9am-1pm. On Sunday, Eagle Junction State School plays host to the Eagle Rock Fair, which looks bigger and better than ever, and The Redcliffe Kite Club will be enjoying a flying day at Clontarf from 12-4pm. Then wind down from all the fun at Jindalee pool on Monday at their Mums and Bubs aqua fitness class.
Have a great weekend!
