Motherhood & Marriage - Trying to plan a wedding while raising a baby.
Motherhood and Marriage,
Can these two things always work together?
This blog is the story of my journey from motherhood to planning my wedding and beyond.
But, before i get started this is my story.....
In October 2010 my fiancee and partner of 2.5 years and I split.
I then decided to make the biggest decision of my young, 23 year old life, to move from QLD to VIC to be with my family. So I packed my bags and flew back to my mum.
After about 6 months in VIC, I had new friends, a new life and loving every bit of it, except that fact I was lonely as hell. Sure I went on dates and that, but no man was ever really what I wanted. Then I met J, he was sweet, kind, courteous, handsome, funny and after a few days, all mine.
I had never been so happy ever before in my life.
So it wasn't surprising when the lease was up where I was, he asked me to move in, of course I said yes.
Jumping forward a couple of months, we decided to try to have a baby, we were in love and we both knew what we wanted. After 2 months of trying, we were pregnant!
My Due date was April 13th 2012.
My pregnancy was so easy, no morning sickness, pure easy sailing, except for Gestational Diabetes which i controlled with diet.
So on March 28th 2012, I gave birth to our son C.
We both feel like he has made our family complete... for now....
So naturally a few weeks after C was born, J and I discussed getting married, we both wanted me to have the same surname and J wanted me to be his wife. So we went out and bought a ring. Then we were engaged.
J asking me wasn't big, or fancy, but we are not like that. It was J saying how much he loved me and wanted me to be his wife. To me, it was the perfect proposal.
So now, Im planning our wedding and a parent to a gorgeous 9 week old boy.
This blog is basically about how to do both.
On a budget, on ONE wage.
Without loosing all my hair!
