I have a confession to make: we are a Disney family. In fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking that my house was a shrine to that gloriously warm-hearted and loving black mouse with his adorable saucer ears and red grandpa pants. Mickey Mouse and his clubhouse of friends have been invading our home, and our hearts, for decades. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
But as much as I love the thrill of modern Disney movies (Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille, Toy Story, Tangled), I'm a sucker for the classics. So, I have to admit that I was embarrassingly excited when I heard that Event Cinemas are showcasing an entire festival of animated classics on the big screen. Oh..my..go..oofy.
The festival begins this weekend with the gorgeous Lady and the Tramp, then runs every weekend through June 10.
