A round of applause for Chrissie Swan.
Chrissie Swan has lifted the lid on yet another motherhood myth - you know the one that says that as mothers we must do it all. Raise the kids, do the housework, cook the dinner, stock the fridge and hold down a fab career? Not sure where this myth comes from, however it seems to be one that is universally held. Crazy stuff.
Chrissie Swan has outed herself by admitting that her 'babysitter' is actually a 'nanny' (ie., a full time carer of her beatiful kids and not an ad hoc minder that works on call). Not only that, she has also fessed up to having a cleaner (cue gasps of shock).
Go Chrissie!
Seriously, isn't it about time that we got over ourselves and admitted that 'yes, we are busy, and yes it is really hard to try and do it all; and yes those of us who do try and do it all tend to unravel a little at the seams; and yes it really is ok to ask for, even PAY for help'.?
Put aside the ridiculous Mother Guilt, admit that you can't, and infact don't need to, do it all. Get some help around the home and be happy about it and less stressed for it!
