What's Hot Mama? HOOT Kid clothing is HOT to trot!
My daughter tells me she is a ‘fashionista’. She is constantly giving me advice on what to wear (and she is generally right) and she likes to make sure that her own ‘look’ has a certain edge. Gone are the days where she was happy if it was pink, these days she tells me she is a ‘rock star sort of girl’. Not for her the standard shoe laces that come with her shoes – she likes to mix up the laces and has even been seen out and about in two different runners because it’s ‘her look’. I’ve got to admire her style – she carries it off by sheer attitude alone.
Recently I found her a pair of fantastic leggings with a jean print. Happily for her they are Funky with a capital ‘F’ and happily for me they did not break the bank. Amazingly, even though the leggings were a one-off limited edition piece they cost me less than $22! Yep. She has taken to wearing them with shin high black boots, layers of tops and a scarf. She looks so cute (no, not cute mum, I look like a ‘rock star’)!

The label is called HootKids and the shop in online! I contacted the owner, Caroline Marvelli for more information. Caroline has a long fashion background as a buyer and she told me that HootKids is an online children’s boutique offering one-off, fun, fashionable garments for kids (boys and girls) sizes 1-6. Caroline added that she has ‘the terrible job of travelling the world in search of fun, funky threads for your little fashionistas’. All pieces are one-off, limited edition pieces made in small quantities from great quality material. There’s also a range of accessories including scarves, hats, jewellery, ear muffs (awesome), hair bands and belts.
