I built a cake
If a little time-traveling fairy visited me three years ago to tell me that by 2012 I'd have two children and would spend a whole day baking and decorating a train cake for one of their birthdays I would have laughed at the fairy then I would ask it to give me some lotto numbers. Except I wouldn't because I don't believe that fairies can time travel.
But it this case the hypothetical fairy would have been right. I do have two kids - affectionately called The Toddler and The Baby (for reasons that I don't think need explaining) and when The Toddler turned two recently I made him this cake:
I know right ...? That was the second cake I'd decorated in my life.

So surprised was I by the end result I posted the pic on the Bub Hub forum and Bub Hub Facebook page. And then heaps of very talented Bub Hub members shared their children's birthday cake masterpieces as well.
