    I remember being pregnant and knowing that I had to give up one of my treats, cheese! Of my only treats, red wine, cheese and dark chocolate - two of them had to go!!!

    Well, not all cheese, but what I like to think of as the gourmet and healthy ones! Basically, all the hard yellow varieties (Cheddar, Jalsberg, Tasty) are fine. It's your soft or white chesses (brie, ricotta, fetta) that you need to watch out for, much to my disappointment!

    Ever heard the term 'oh she's pregnant and must be eating for two' or use this as an excuse to devour anything and everything in sight! In fact, experts suggest that consuming an extra 300 calories is all that is needed for the second and third trimesters of a woman's pregnancy.

    This blog comes to you from my balcony over looking the clear beautiful waters of waikiki beach that I can see through the swaying palm trees. Sound amazing??? It sure is!
