We recently received a Raa Raa the Noisy Lion DVD in the mail.

The Toddler loves this show mostly because it confirms his belief that the word for lion is in fact 'Raa'. His word for most things comes from the noise it makes ... a dog is 'a woof', a fire engine is 'iiiireesh' (his version of a siren). The word for ambulance is confusingly similar.

Anyone out there pregnant? Well I am. Eight months and one week to be precise. Yes, three weeks to go! I am in full nesting mode at the moment, the nursery is set up, the car seat is fitted, the pram has been reconstructed and I must have spent a week's wages on cleaning products at the supermarket last week. My compulsion to clean is in fact is getting a little out of control, but that is a whole other story.

When given an ipad by my boss (another way for me to be contactable, cleverly disguised as a Christmas gift!), I must admit, I was unsure what to do with it.

I loaded up my email, downloaded a few apps that I didn’t really need, read the news in bed... but after those first few weeks of mindless tinkering, it was gradually demoted to hanging around on the kitchen bench, amidst the browning bananas and phone bills. I had a laptop and a phone, so finding a place in my busy life ...

Throughout my life I’ve always had a treasured item or collection of some sort.
It all started as a small child with my badge collection, where I had a pin-badge from every place I’d ever been.
In my University days it was beer mats… same principle as the badges, but a whole different method of accumulation.
My 20’s treasures included a shoebox full of used glow-sticks, a giant chupachups lollipop, and a very beat up old Ford Fiesta.
